On December 17th, 1987 Ezra Harris, a pastor at a local Southern Baptist Church was awoke by his loving wife Evelyn in the early hours of the morning. She had been having contractions for a few hours. Having been through this twice prior, once with their eldest son Ezekial and once with their eldest daughter Brooke- Evelyn knew what was to come and how soon they had needed to get to the hospital. Once they arrived she had been eight centimeters dilated and nearly ready to welcome into the world their newest baby. By the time they welcomed little Ethanial “Ethan” Ray into the world nearly half of the parishioners were at the hospital ready to shower the happy family and their bouncing baby boy with gifts of praise and prayers. Evie and Ezra prominently let their second family hold their new bundle of joy and bask in the glory of what god had bestowed upon them. After Ethanial was born they welcomed into the world two more Harris children, Jere and UNNAMED.

As a child the Harris children were expected to dress the part of the good little servants of god. They dressed prim and proper, they attended every church event whether they were sick or not and they were anticipated to be on their best behavior. They were model children. The parent’s home schooled their children, their only interaction with children their own age was with those whom were church members or were members of their home school group. It was very frustrating for Ethan to be cooped up like this, he was a social butterfly whom wanted to spread his wings and flutter around talking to everyone. He would randomly start chatting up strangers in stores, curious about their life and how they were doing. His parents were mostly embarrassed by this action but they passed it off as his childhood curiosity in public and punished him in private for something that came naturally to him.

The only thing they allowed the Harris children to do to express themselves slightly was altar their hair and their wardrobe, but even that had to be approved. Ethan chose to dress in a very punk rock fashion and listened to music of the grunge and punk genre in private for fear his parents would make him lose the only thing that made him happy outside of his art and poetry, most of which he had to keep hidden from his parents and only showed them religious or happy works in order to keep them at bay and continue to purchase his supplies.

When he was in his teen years Ethan knew he was different, when he would spend time with his pre-approved friends he didn’t act like them. He wasn’t one to talk about how a girl looked in her tight shirt or how many girls he had slept with or even girls in general other than the female friends he had. It wasn’t until he spoke with another friend of his whom also felt like he was out of the normal for their peer group about how he felt that he discovered that he was homosexual. His parents were right wing, Christian conservatives whom were very much anti homosexuality. Ethan began a relationship with his friend James – of course deeply in secret. The two of them parted ways when James wanted to tell their parents. Ethan knew that was not a good idea and that he was not going to come out to them until he was no longer under their roof.

After he turned eighteen he promptly moved out of his parents’ home with money he had been saving up from his part time waiting job. His charming smile gained him many tips and instead of spending the money on what normal teen boys spent their funds on he had stowed it away for the glorious moment where he could be an individual and begin his path as Ethan Harris, member of society instead of Ethan Harris son of pastor Ezra Harris. He picked up a second job, working part time at one of the local Lowe’s Home Improvement stores as a cashier, working around his schedule at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co where he had been waiting since he was sixteen. A year after he began working as a cashier he moved up to Sales floor Associate working in the Windows and Walls section. There he was cross-trained on the paint department so he could cover breaks and areas of the day where there was no one scheduled in that department. And not even six months later he had been offered a permanent, full time Paint Associate position.

While working in the Paint department he met a young seasonal cashier by the name of Peyton Russell. Peyton was a very open, out and proud gay man whom at first drove Ethan crazy. He was loud, very hyperactive and made him want to sit him down and give him a hand full of Ritalin. They would keep up conversation and eventually got to know one another on a friend level. Ethan took the young boy under his wing and cross trained him on his own department as well as his old Windows and Walls position in hopes that they would keep him on after the season was up. The general manager loved how Ethan took initiative with the boy and he was soon promoted to Department Head over paint. As his work ladder was being climbed, the relationship between him and Peyton did too. It all started with a drunken kiss during a work group gathering. They were nearly the only ones left from their little group at the party and they had been drinking heavily. Peyton had been hitting on the man in a very obvious manner that night, complimenting his hair and tattoos and even hung all over him, prompting many rumors the next day at through the workforce. That kiss sent shivers up and down Ethan’s spine and he was love struck.

In 2009 Peyton and Ethan became an official couple. They had their quirks still and Peyton had pushed to meet Ethan’s parents, not understanding the level of how much they were against homosexuality. It took Ethan nearly six months of being in a relationship with Peyton before he had finally introduced him to his parents. The Harris’ were not thrilled at all about their son’s relationship with Peyton but the more they got to know Peyton they too had become enamored by the spunky man. Six months after that Ethan asked Peyton to move in with him and he transferred to the other local Lowe’s in order to not create friction in the workplace. Their love had blossomed quickly and continued to bloom. They got through the first year of being together with a few bumps in the road.

In the middle of 2011 a mutual female friend of the couple had found out that she had been diagnosed with Melanoma caused by her constant and obsessive tanning in salons. It had been very serious and spreading quite quickly. She wanted nothing more in the world than to bestow the world with a child whom bore a resemblance to her – she had been quite breathtaking and she was right to want to leave her imprint on the world in case she met with an untimely death. She had asked of the couple to aid her in this journey. They had both made contributions in a plastic cup, their boys were mixed together and then placed inside of the woman. There were several rounds of this before it finally took and Stephanie became pregnant with their child. Unfortunately upon giving birth to a very healthy baby girl named Stephanie on March 20th of 2012, Stephanie had lost her life. They had to take a paternity test to prove that either one of them was the biological father before they were allowed to take the little girl out of the hospital. They didn’t want to ever have to do that so they would just know her as their daughter instead of whose sperm actually created her. She turned out to be Ethan’s biological daughter.

On June 2nd of 2014 after Illinois has passed the law that same sex marriage were now legal; the couple promptly marched up to the county clerk of courts and filed for a marriage license. The couple was joined together in holy matrimony in front of the justice of the peace and several of their close friends and family. It had been a wonderful experience, they dressed up and took a bunch of photos and even had a reception at their newly purchased home. Their little girl whom was now two years old was there in attendance and smiled happily as her father’s said their very emotion filled vows to one another while holding hands. They had been together for nearly six years by the time they married and so many great things were happening with both of them being promoted again at the workplace, the purchase of their new home, the purchase of their first right off the lot vehicle they had a lot to be joyous over. The cherry on the top of this ice cream sundae was that the Reverend Harris and his wife had not only attended the wedding but they had taken photos with the boys and called Peyton, son.

In the summer of 2015 Ethan and Peyton’s perfect life came crashing down when it had come to light that Peyton had been unfaithful. The man began having an affair with his ex boyfriend Jero Garcia in the summer of 2014 and kept it under wraps for an entire year. Ethan had no clue that Peyton had stepped outside of their relationship at all and certainly not for the amount of time. Peyton had been caught out and about with another man, Jamie Feerick; a mutual acquaintance of theirs and a man who had claimed he was fully heterosexual. This news rocked the foundation of their once thought to be very stable relationship. Nearly two days after he had been caught with Jamie he had publically announced he was in a relationship with Jero.

Ethan had finally decided to come clean about his extramarital affair as well. He had told Peyton about the sexual encounter he held with Stephanie, the mother of his daughter. And he was open about the way young Stephie was brought into the world. This wasn’t a love relationship but a means to an end. Ethan wanted to provide Stephie with a child and the in vitro simply wasn’t taking. With this news brought into light Peyton reacted badly. He also had one more extramarital affair, the morning he found out about Peyton and Jamie he ended in the bed of their mutual “fag hag” and Ethan’s long time friend Caety Dixon. He went to her for comfort and practically begged the woman to sleep with him in order to prove to himself that he was still very much a homosexual male. This was accomplished. Caety and Ethan have a son together from their previous intimacy.

After the break up and his husband moved on to being open about his relationship with Jero, Ethan became withdrawn and not his usual positive self. He eventually went out on a few set up dates and landed in a relationship with a long time friend of his and Caety’s by the name of Tyler Bukszar. He had no idea before Caety invited them both out for lunch that Tyler had even been interested in him. He had always assumed the man was homosexual but had no idea that he was his type. The two are now on a very adventurous journey with one another and hope to have found what they both were lacking for such a long time in each other. But their journey didn't last long. Ethan's heart wouldn't let go of his love for Peyton. The two of them began an affair and after break ups between them the two of them got back together, remarried and brought a son into the world via a surrogate using Ethan's sisters egg and Peyton's sperm.
